Dialarounds - Are They Right For You?

Dialarounds are extremely popular with cost effective ways of using a long distance service!

A dial-a-round, also known as a 10-10 number or casual dialing, allows consumers to make long distance calls (and international calls) without switching long distance carriers. Users need to dial an access number (usually a toll free number or a 10-10 number) before each long distance or international call. This access number reroutes the call through the dialaround carrier instead of your normal long distance carrier.

What are the benefits of a Dial-a-round?

Dialarounds have found their niche with consumers, especially with in-state rates. If your carrier has exceptionally high in-state rates (Examples are New Mexico, Arizona, Maine) you might benefit by using a dialaround for your instate calls.

Other niches are students who can't change long distance carriers, or military personal who relocate frequently.

What about the "other side" to using Dial-a-round?

Many consumers find that dialarounds can actually cost more that switching to a standard carrier. There are dialaround companies who charge high monthly fees for simply using the product, or bill calls using high increments like full minute or even 3-minute increments. Some dialaround companies might charge high monthly usage minimum each month...These kinds of charges are usually found in the find print.

Our Dialaround Providers have no monthly usage fees - you use what you need. Take a look at AccuDial or Kallcents.

Bottom Line - if you can deal with the addition of a 10-14 digit prefix (that can be programmed into speed dial), then dialaround can be the perfect solution to your long distance costs!
